Having beautiful nails on beautiful hands is something that anyone admires. By just looking at your hands someone may make general conclusions on your personal care and grooming habits. Though this is a very bitter truth to swallow, many people like to make general conclusions because they got many things to do in their life, they got 99 problems and won't add any other problem concerning you to their list.

Even if you hide your brittle nails under beautiful stiletto or box-shaped fake acrylic nails, you should never ignore your own natural ones. But also nails can tell you a lot about your own overall health. Nails can reveals the following:

Other things that can make your nails to be brittle and easy to break and get chipped are

  • Exposure to certain chemicals

  • Wearing fake nails and leaving nail glue on for too long

  • Leaving nail polish for too long

  • Over washing your hands

  • Certain pharmaceutical drugs and medicine

  • nail injury and trauma

This nail cream is filled with luxurious and exotic carrier oils and essential oils that can fortify weak, chipped and cracked nails and turn them into strong and healthy nail cuticles.

SELECTING INGREDIENTS

  • Mango butter: Mango butter can not only moisturize and hydrate your hair and skin but also your nails too! Mango butter contains essential fatty acids and nutrients that can nourish your nail and cuticles.

  • Lanolin: Animal fats derived from wool of sheep. Lanolin is good ingredient that is usually used in cosmetic making of lipstick, soap, lotions and creams. Using it in your recipe will be a good choice because of its occlusive properties that may prevent the nails from becoming too dry and brittle.

  • Beeswax: This ingredient has both moisturizing and sealing properties which can help your nails. Nail cream recipe having lanolin and beeswax means double hydration for your nails.

  • Pomegranate seed oil: It has numerous nutrients that can benefit the skin, hair and nails. This oil contains vitamin A, C and E that can fortify your nails and make them stronger. These carrier oil is very light and won't overwhelm your nail cuticles.

  • Sea buckthorn oil: This exotic and luxurious oil can turn weak easily broken and brittle nails to stronger and bright nails. Sea buckthorn oil contains vitamin A, retinol that can repair and rejuvenate damaged nails and cuticles. But also it has anti-oxidants that can fight free radicals and signs of aging.

  • Vitamin E oil: Also known as tocopherol, it can act as a preservative to your nail cream while at the same time fighting oxidative stress cause by free radicals from everyday exposure to various chemicals, dirt and pollution due to various activities carried out by your hands.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of mango butter

  • 1 tablespoon of lanolin

  • 1 heaping tablespoon of beeswax

  • 1 tablespoon of pomegranate seed oil

  • 1 tablespoon of sea buckthorn oil

  • ¼ teaspoon of Vitamin E oil

Before making your nail cream, prepare all your ingredients and tools to avoid any kind of inconveniences later on. It is not a great idea to start making a recipe only to realize mid-way that you are missing an equipment or worse enough an ingredient.

Please gather your measuring spoons, glass measuring cups, saucepan or double boiler, stirrer and kitchen thermometer. If you need gear like gloves or apron, do include them too.

Instructions

  1. Just begin by measuring your ingredients: mango butter, lanolin and beeswax, simply add them in your glass measuring cup.

  2. Place this glass measuring cup in a saucepan with few inches of simmering water on a stove top. Stir your mixture in the cup occasionally till all your mixture is completely melted. By temperature 160 to 170 Fahrenheit this mixture would have melted.

  3. Remove the saucepan from the stove top and turn off the heat. While your glass measuring cup is still in hot water, add and stir pomegranate seed oil and sea buckthorn oil.

  4. Remove the glass measuring cup from the simmering water, wear a glove or use kitchen towel to remove it.

  5. Add vitamin E oil to your mixture and stir well till you achieve a uniform cream.

  6. Your nail cream is ready! Pour your mixture to a small glass container or tin container and store it in a cool and dry place.
