A nice foot care soak can soothe and calm your feet and improve your mental state. A simple ritual like this one can be significant in your daily life if taken seriously and done religiously.

Many times foot soak are preparations made at home and hardly found in ranges of commercial products. With this in mind you can be playful and creative and create your own blends during the weekend and store them, just adding the blends in warm water during the hectic week days after coming at home after workday or school day. Let's begin shall we?!

SELECTING INGREDIENTS

  • Epsom salt: Also known as magnesium sulfate, this salt has many benefits. Epsom salt can be easily be absorbed by the skin and help to balance electrolytes in the skin. It can reduce feet pain and soreness after wearing high heels and tight shoes for many hours. But also epsom salt can help your cracked heels to shed dead skin cells and leave your heels feeling very soft like baby's skin.

  • Dried chamomile flowers: Chamomile flowers have calming and soothing properties that can be significant when creating this recipe. Chamomile flowers can help with bruised feet and inflamed feet which have not had enough movement in tight shoes for a long time. Having clean and refreshed feet that's what you want at the end of the day. So this ingredient is a must plus it also smells good, mmmmh!

  • Dried and crushed cloves: Cloves come with numerous anti-oxidants that can help feet skin due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Cloves smell so nice too! When paired together with chamomile flowers it can leave your feet feeling clean and smelling great!

  • Olive oil: Having higher content of oleic acid, olive oil can help to moisturize feet especially cracked heels. I would suggest you get the organic extra virgin olive oil for a better experience with your feet soak recipe.

  • Spearmint essential oil: It is a good astringent, having anti-microbial properties can help with bad microbes that cause smelly feet. It is stimulant that can boost blood flow to the feet. This can help to relax and tone feet that have not had enough movement especially if you have been doing sedentary work and do not move a lot for many hours.

  • Rose essential oil: The role of rose essential oil is to make your feet smell nice. After having your sweaty feet for a long time in tight shoes they can remove a bad and foul smell. Having essential oil such as rose in your feet soak can leave your feet smelling nice and deodorized.
