Selecting Ingredients
Macadamia nut oil: It is rich in palmitoleic acid, antioxidants such as tocopherol and omega-7 fatty acids. It has so many benefits but one of the is that it can be easily be absorbed by the skin but also act as a carrier for other active ingredients to the deeper layers of the skin.

Cupuacu butter: It is also called 'super-moisturizer'. This butter binds well with water thus can lock in moisture in the skin thus provide intense hydration to the skin. It can also improve skin elasticity. When used in our hand cream expect soft and supple hands.

Vegetable glycerin: You can't leave glycerin out of the list if you're talking about skincare ingredient that's a good humectant. Glycerin can hydrate your skin really well. Including this ingredient in your recipe can boost its moisturizing properties as this is what you need in your hand cream.

Stearic acid: These are white color fatty acid in form of powder or flakes derived from plants. So, this a safe choice for vegans and all natural skincare girlies out there! I'll be using this substance as an emulsifier in this hand cream. You know for oil and water ingredients we need a binder and that's when stearic acid comes to play.
Emulsifying wax NF: It a natural, plant-derived white substance that can help oil-phase and water-phase ingredients to mix together and form and emulsion. Without emulsifying wax NF there is no hand cream.

Cucumber gel: You can get this gel in online stores at a fairly cheap price. Cucumber gel can rejuvenate the hand skin and reduce hyperpigmentation on dark knuckles on the hands. If its hard for you to get cucumber gel, aloe vera gel is the second best option.

Vitamin E oil: It act as a very good preservative and emollient for your hand cream. It can also fight free radicals from the environment that affect the skin surface. In its purest form it can be heavy in consistency.

Beeswax: It is hypoallergenic, anti-inflammatory and contains anti-oxidants and essential fatty acids that can be used for skin nourishment. It can combat signs of aging. Beeswax is a highly stable base for making a hand cream. Feel free to use a vegan wax of your choice for vegan-friendly recipe.

Rose essential oil: Rose scent is one of memorable floral scent ever! Won't it be a good idea to include it in your hand cream recipe. Rose oil is gentle and clears the skin. Now let's make it!

Ingredients
2½ teaspoons of macadamia nut oil
2½ teaspoons of cupuacu butter
¼ teaspoon of vegetable glycerin
1 teaspoon of beeswax
¾ teaspoon of stearic acid
2 1/4 heaping teaspoons of emulsifying wax
⅓ cup of cucumber gel
¼ teaspoon of Vitamin E oil
25 drops of rose essential oil
Prepare utensils and tools like mixing bowl, handheld blender, double boiler, measuring spoons and glass measuring cups.

Instructions
Collect your ingredients: macadamia nut oil, cupuacu butter, vegetable glycerin, beeswax, stearic acid and emulsifying wax and place them at your kitchen top.
Measure out the above ingredients and put then into a glass measuring cup and sit it in a saucepan containing a few inches of simmering water. If you get a double boiler is much better.
Try to stir frequently, make sure your ingredients are completely melted. Check the temperature by using kitchen thermometer, dip it in the melted mixture and look if it reaches 160-170 Fahrenheit, remove from heat.
Now measure your cucumber gel in another glass measuring cup and sit this in a saucepan of simmering water and heat it to temperature of 160-170 Fahrenheit.
Now take out your first glass measuring cup, the measuring cup that you had put oil-based ingredients in, the 2 and 3 step.
Then, pour the oil-based ingredients into the heatproof mixing bowl and mix it with your hand-held mixer till satiny and creamy. There should be no bubbles or bulges in it.
You can now take out the measuring cup of cucumber gel from the simmering water, and pour it into the mixture in the mixing bowl, continue blending for other more 5 minutes. Make sure that all these ingredients are completely combined.
Wait the mixture to cool to 98 to 105 Fahrenheit. At this stage you can add vitamin E oil to the mixture.
Add drop by drop rose essential oil in your cream. Continue to mix it well.
Pour your mixture in a well sanitized jar and store it in a cool and dry place.
QUICK TIP: Find a cute, nice glass jar or pot that you can use for storing the hand cream, a jar of 4or 5 Oz. This hand cream should be used within 6 months before it goes bad because it contains no strong preservatives.
