DIY SKINCARE

In my DIY skincare recipe I decided to do another bath bomb recipe that I hope my readers will appreciate and love. If you're new here you can peruse and get to see recipes that you gonna enjoy making in your free time. You can check another the bath bomb recipe here.
Selecting Ingredients
Baking soda: This fairly cheap ingredients and can't miss in kitchens of most homes. This is one of the important ingredients to make bath bombs, without this ingredient you can't make a bath bomb.
Citric acid: A white crystalline substance derived from citrus fruits. The 'fizziness' of the bath bombs comes from this ingredient. Without citric acid then bath bombs are just bath balls. When the bath bombs touch water they react with citric acid that male 'exploding' bath bombs.
Himalayan salts: Many of you know it as Pink salt from its pink shade due to trace minerals found in it. Mined in Pakistan within Himalayan mountains. If you're using this salt then get medium- grained grade one. They make your bath bombs look good and good for skin.
Dried flowers or herbs: You can use any dried herbs or flowers you have available at hand. You can use dried chamomile, rose petals, yarrow flowers, lavender or rosemary shrubs. Any herb will work just fine to be encrusted inside the bath bombs.
Olive oil: This oil is very beneficial to all skin types. I hope you have it lying around inside your pantry or kitchen cabinets. To indulge in a more anti-oxidant -filled bath bombs use extra virgin olive oil for more moisturized and nourished skin. If you can't get olive oil for one reason or the other still yet you can get jojoba oil, sunflower oil or sweet almond oil can be other available options.
Natural food color: If you get the liquid food color of your own liking is better to work with than powder food colors. If you also don't have colors at all you can use cocoa powder for brown, turmeric powder for yellow, green matcha powder for green or paprika for red all are another good options too.
Sweet orange essential oil: Its memorable citrus notes will always remind you of making another batch of bath bombs. Don't use more than 60 drops for this recipe. I like sweet orange essential oil because of its astringent, antimicrobial properties but also stimulates your mood. If you have any other favorite essential oil you can use it in place of sweet orange essential oil.
Witch hazel extract: Celebrated in the world of skincare industry for its astringent properties than can remove or reduce oiliness in your skin. Witch hazel extract is good for this recipe.
That's all for the ingredients and their properties. Let's dive in, shall we?
Ingredients
1 cup of baking soda
half a cup of citric acid
half a cup of Pink salts
1 heaping tablespoon of dried herbs and flowers
2 teaspoons of olive oil
2 drops of natural food color or one teaspoon of powder color
60 drops of sweet orange essential oil
1 tablespoon of witch hazel extract
You have to know that while making bath bombs, natural food color and essential oils aren't necessary to making 'fizzy' bath bombs but just an embellishment that will make your bath bombs more beautiful and improve your experience.
What about molds? You can get semi-circle silicone molds online or reuse Christmas ornament balls if you cut them in half. You also can make bath bomb 'cubes' from ice cube tray.
