Sometimes, it can be a hassle to find hair oil for your oily hair. Going from aisle to aisle of the shopping mall without getting anything worthy putting in your locks. Many hair oils are 90 percent or more containing mineral oils which can be clog hair follicles and cause other myriad of issues. When you get to buy natural hair oils, mostly are usually made and catered for coarse hair girlies which your hair can't hold. Many natural hair oils contain vicious oils such as wheatgerm oil, avocado oil, almond oil even liquidated butter like cocoa butter or shea butter.
This simple recipe aims to create a hair oil that is light, light enough that it won't weigh down your hair, clog your hair follicles and cause your hair to be greasy in just a day!
SELECTING INGREDIENTS
Grapeseed oil: It is a good option because it is light-weight carrier oil. Filled with anti-oxidants and vitamins A, E and D which can help to nourish your hair and smoothen your split ends.
Rosehip seed oil: It has a nice amber color with a strong aroma. Protecting your hair by coating the hair shaft. This also helps to prevent water escaping your hair cuticles, this ensure your hair stays moisturized.
Pomegranate seed oil: Easily absorbed by the hair because is a light oil. Pomegranate seed oil has essential fatty acids and amino acids which can nourish the hair and make it silky and shiny in the process without weighing it down and being overtly greasy.
Strawberry seed oil: This oil apart from being lighter, it can also promote scalp health. It will be easily absorbed in your hair strands and hair follicles.
Lavender essential oil: Mmmh! luv so much the lavender scent ๐๐. It's sweet smell lingers after applying it. It is also stimulates hair growth.
Tea tree essential oil: It combats dryness and fights dandruff and help your hair texture.
Horsetail essential oil: As the name goes, horsetail essential oil can make your hair strands stronger but also foster hair growth. Horsetail essential oil can help you grow beautiful manes.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon of grapeseed oil
1 tablespoon of rosehip seed oil
1 tablespoon of pomegranate seed oil
1 tablespoon of strawberry seed oil
10 drops of lavender essential oil
10 drops of tea tree essential oil
5 drops of horsetail essential oil
Apart from getting your ingredients, check if you have other tools and supplies and gather them before you start making your recipe. You'll need a glass measuring cup, a glass stirrer (one chopstick will do the same job) and your designated hair oil bottle.
Instructions
Start with rosehip seed oil, pour it in your glass measuring cup.
Next, add grapeseed oil, strawberry seed oil and pomegranate seed oil into your glass measuring cup and slowly stir, till all oils are mixed up.
This is the stage where essential oils get to be added. In this recipe, you'll need lavender essential oil, tea tree essential oil and horsetail essential oil.
Add your essential oils drop by drop, you can use a dropper(many essential oils bottles come with droppers) if you don't have a dropper use a disposable pipette in the glass measuring cup.
Swirl your mixture till all the ingredients are well combined together with your carrier oils.
Pour your lovely hair oil in a designated bottle of your choice
