Body butters are one of best hydrating skincare formulation. Body butters are fantastic and fabulous emollient that can seal in moisture, preventing water from deeper layers of the skin to evaporate and leave the skin chapped, flaky and dehydrated.

Whipped Body Butter

Body butters contain natural butters like cocoa butter, murumuru butter, shea butter, kokum butter, mango butter that make more than 70 percent of its composition. These butters generally are filled with the good stuff such as essential fatty acids, polyphenols, anti-oxidants and flavonoids that can enhance your skin's vitality, with anti-aging and revitalizing properties.

Adding chamomile essential oil and cinnamon bark essential oil can boost the body butter's quality. These essential oils have a floral and woody scent that can improve your experience as you indulge your body in this skin food. Selecting Ingredients

  • Mango butter: This expeller pressed semi-solid butter from mango seeds contains high content of oleic acid and stearic acid that play a key part in skin hydration and moisturization. It has a very nice aroma that of the tropical fruit, mango. It has a shelf life of 24 months with a texture that is going to make your body butter velvety.

  • Cocoa butter: A cream-colored butter with sweet chocolate aroma is all that you need. This butter has a longer shelf life of up to 4+ years when well preserved. Cocoa butter contain antioxidants and polyphenols that can help your skin when used in body butter.

  • Olive oil: Undoubtedly, olive oil is the queen when it comes to carrier oils. Filled with antioxidants such as tocopherols, squalene and other polyphenols that can brighten the skin. Get a glowing skin when you add olive oil in your body butter. Use extra virgin olive oil to reap more benefits.

  • Vitamin E oil: Adding it to your whipped body butter recipe can improve the skin radiance and elasticity to your skin. Apart from that Vitamin E oil is very crucial to the longevity of your whipped body butter since it can also act as a preservative.

  • Chamomile essential oil: It is known for having soothing and calming properties to the skin. It can also promote wound healing and reduce skin inflammation, all these properties are good for dry and sensitive skin. This essential oil adds a gentle touch to your whipped body butter.

  • Cinnamon bark essential oil: Cinnamon bark not only make an excellent spice in the kitchen, it can also spice up your whipped body butter. Cinnamon bark has a woody scent that can act as a perfect combo to chamomile floral scent. This essential oil can be beneficial to the skin.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup of mango butter

  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa butter

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • ¼ teaspoon of vitamin E oil

  • 25 drops of chamomile essential oil

  • 15 drops of cinnamon bark essential oil

You should always gather your tools and supplies that you gonna use in recipe making to avoid any inconveniences. Your tools are mixing bowl, measuring spoons, spatula or wooden spoon, glass measuring cups, kitchen thermometer, hand-held mixer and other tools you think you might need.

Instructions

  1. First step measure out your ingredients: mango butter, cocoa butter and olive oil and put them in a double boiler. If you don't have a double boiler, you can use a saucepan of simmering water as a water bath and place a glass measuring cup with ingredients.

  2. Melt the mixture in low heat between 98 to 105 Fahrenheit. When melted completely, pour your mixture into a glass heat-resistant mixing bowl.

  3. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes for the mixture to cool to room temperature of 77 Fahrenheit(25 Celsius). Use your kitchen thermometer for precise temperature measuring.

  4. Next, take your mixture into a mixing bowl, with a hand-held mixer and whisk it for like 10 minutes. Use a whisker if you don't have hand-held mixer at hand.

  5. Put your butter-oil mixture into refrigerator and let it chill for like five minutes.

  6. Repeat step 4 and step 5 till the mixture is whipped, creamy and velvety.

  7. Now you can add vitamin E oil, cinnamon bark essential oil and chamomile essential oil altogether and combine them well with a hand-held mixer in your whipped creamy mixture.

  8. Scoop your whipped creamy body butter with a wooden spoon and transfer to a well-sanitized jar.

How to Use Whipped Body Butter

After taking your shower indulge in this whipped body butter. Apply your body butter allover the body. Dab your elbows and knees with this body butter and rub in circles. This body butter can smoothen your skin leaving your skin feeling soft and supple.
